Ducking the guards had been fairly easy and she had enjoyed a nice walk about the grounds without any issue and was now entering to have breakfast with Jessica..."Good Morning Cousin."...she smiled and took her seat.

2012-02-08 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Samantha smirked. "OH, you mean that cute guy two rooms down from you? OH yeah, he's here alright." she'd giggle. Helping her with her things, she'd guide her into the castle.

2012-02-08 [Saffron]: Alex rolled her eyes..."Well do me a favor and let him guard you."...she told Samantha clearly annoyed already with this entire thing. It really wasn't all that bad or unreasonable, but the more and more Alex thought about it the more sour her opinion turned to this entire idea no matter how wise her parents were being.

2012-02-08 [Saffron]: In her quarters, she quickly unpacked with Samantha's help and soon was changed from her travel clothes into a proper dress. Alex didn't mind wearing dresses at all and in fact enjoyed looking nice and being well groomed. It never stopped her from exploring here and there and besides...pants could get rather uncomfortable at times. ANYWAY, so Alex settled into a chair and flipped through a book she had found at Jessica's wondering if perhaps she should read now or go cause misery to her family by hiding off into the stables or orchards.

2012-02-10 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Samantha answered the door. "Oh, hello there, one moment please." she'd say, closing it before the person knocking could even tget a word out. "Alex, its' handsome guy." she'd whipser.

2012-02-10 [Saffron]: Alex groaned and pictured for a moment jumping out the window. Sighing she moved up from her chair, brushed her skirts, and put the most defiant look she could on her face..."Let him in."

'William' stepped inside and put on a smile. "Hello Princess, I am William, it is a pleasure to meet you." he'd say, bowing, ignoring her defiant look.

A guard thinking that he had the right to get to know a princess? Call it what you will, but the guard was already going to make her life miserable and here he wanted to be friends? Was he drunk?..."If your going to make my life miserable then fine. My father is king and we both must obey him, but don't think I'm going to be your best friend just because we're stuck together."...she scowled at the guard, even if he was cute.

2012-02-10 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "I am quite sure, we'll be good friends, once you get to know me, princess." 'William' would say, trying his best to keep things curtious and being as polite as possible. Yes..he had to follow her fathers orders, as well hers, within reason.

2012-02-10 [Saffron]: Alex eyes turned and she peered over at Samantha. She wondered what her friend thought of this, but of course Samantha couldn't say so, but the girl did give some brief looks that said more then words.

2012-02-10 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Samantha gave her a look that said 'It's worth a shot, unless she...wanted to be miserable for the rest of her life, and also wondering...if she could date the guard xD'

2012-02-10 [Saffron]: Alex had to try very hard not to smile at that look. It was a mix of signals, but she had understood it well enough..."We shall see."...she relented taking the advice of her friend over her own judgment which she knew to be bias..."I assume your here to start your duty officially?"

2012-02-10 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Yes m'lady." 'William' said, nodding. Yes, hopefuly she and he could be firm friends, for that was his mission here...to earn her trust enough.

Samantha bowed. "Do you require me to remain with you m'lady?" she'd ask, giving her hopful eyes so she could stiack around with handsome guy.

2012-02-10 [Saffron]: Samantha was just to adorable in Alex opinion and it served Alex well for her to stick around. She didn't like being around strange men alone..."Tea Samantha."...she said and turned her back to them both and went to the table where she took her afternoon tea and sat down her gaze moving to William and wondering exactly what he would do. Stand behind her? Remain at the door? She had seen guards do all sorts of things it was time to see how this one decided to watch over her.

"Why thank you sir." sh'd smile, doing a small curtsy and going to get the tea. Closing the door behind her, he'd lean against the wall near the door, which was a good fifteen meters away from her, figuring, he was new guard, so he figured...um maybe it best to give her distance.

2012-02-10 [Saffron]: Alex was content with him staying by the door, but clearly that left her with nothing to do. Her book was by the other table and it was strange having some younger guy there. What was her father thinking? All her previous guards had been much older then she and this one looked to be her age! Goodness this was becoming awkward and Alex hoped Samantha would hurry up.

2012-02-10 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' remained silent, not knowing if she prefered to talk and chat or just not be annoyed by him, mhm.

Samantha came back about ten minutes later, knocking, as 'William' looked to her and waited, he'd answer teh door when requested, allowig her in. "Tea, princess." she'd say stepping into the room.

2012-02-10 [Saffron]: Alex would waive her hand giving him clear permission to answer the door. She sent a warm smile to Samantha which should have been invitation enough for her to come serve the tea and gave the girl a very clear...don't leave me...look. 

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Samantha returned the smile, of course she wouldn't leave. pouring the tea, she'd stand back away from her and just stood there, holding her hands together in front of her.

'William pulled out a photo and smileld at her for a moment, before placing it back in his pocket.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex was being very careful in the fact she ignored William. Instead, she carried on pleasant conversation with Samantha about her most recent book as well as the trip to Jessica's leaving out the finer details that involved her ditching her guard.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Samantha giggled and nodded. "It's wonderful that Jess is having a little one, I do wish her all the best in the world." she'd smile, occasionally looking toward 'William.'

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex grinned..."Indeed, perhaps you will find someone soon and have a little one of your own."...she need not even look at William for Samantha to know who she was referring too. The mischievous look on her face was enough.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Oh, I think I have already, princess, question is, does he like me too? Granted it'll take some time...but I'm willing to wait for him, he's so handsome." Samantha smiled.

'William' rose a brow watching the two.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex couldn't help herself as she laughed. It was a pleasant laugh that was easy to listen too and Alex didn't stop until tears ran down her eyes. Oh goodness, this was amusing. Perhaps good would come of it after all..."Well, I wish you all the best. It would do him good to realize your worth."...she smiled.

'William' had a slight smirk on his face. Were they discussig him?!?! Hm...maybe...

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex sipped her tea and had spared a glance finally at him. He was smirking, did he know they were speaking of him? Possibly, but it really didn't matter. In fact, it likely would be a bonus if he did for perhaps it would encourage him to show interest in Samantha. As fro Alex, she was suddenly thinking about who she would be married off too. The time was likely coming near, perhaps a year maybe two? It was a dismal thought.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Yes...the search was on actually, to find a suitable gentlemen for his beautiful daughter, not a stuck up son of a noble, of course they'd most likely be a noble themself, just required to be a kind person. For if anything bad happened to his daughter at the hands of her husband...he'd have them tortured.


'William' looked directly at the princess...for a moment their eyes locking with one another.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex paused what she was doing as their eyes met. There was one thing about her that William was likely going to be quick to learn and that was of course she was stubborn. As such, when their eyes locked she didn't look away and instead raised her brows slightly a bit surprised he hadn't looked away quickly.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: That's one thing she'd have to learn about him, 'William' wasn't afraid of much of anything. STill looking into her eyes, the only thing he did was shift about 'Heh, too bad she's british...she's a beautiful lady.' he'd think to himself.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Afraid wasn't so much the term as respectful. No one of a lower station then her had ever held her gaze like that before but as Samantha continue to speak she found reason to adjust her gaze back to her maid. How strange this guard was already turning out to be, but the tea was now finished and the conversation seemed more or less over so she would allow Samantha to take the dishes away. As for Alex, it was time to test the waters so she stood and walked out of her room.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Samantha departed with a hug to Alex, walking by 'William' she stopped for a moment and he of course opened the door for her, earning a bashful smile. "Well, thank you sir." she'd say

'William' smirked and nodded, oh look here comes the princess, the door already opened, but...he didn't follow...wait what...oh there he is, about five seconds after she was down the hall, he followed, twirling something in his hand.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex had expected the delay as she noted he seemed to be giving her space, but she did glance behind her and note whatever it was in his hand (?). 

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: A twirling kurnai, throwing knife as it were. And kept his head down, possibly pondering something? Hrm, yes probably. Shifting a bit, he'd smile at her though, looking up.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Boys and their weapons. Alex turned her attention back to the front as she shuffled down the stairs and went off into the gardens. Once free, she zipped about around corners and sidestepped through brush and such wondering if William would keep up. Likely he would, but finally she reached her favorite grove..."Stay."...she commanded looking at him sternly before she entered the circular grove she had found when she was little. It was enclosed by trees and seemingly only had one way out, of course, this was her grove and there was another way if she chose to use it. For now, she sat on her wooden bench and peered about.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: She could'nt avoid him as easilyi as she thought, because he still remained about five steps behind her. once they came to the grove, he came to a full hault and nodded to her. "As you wish, princess." he'd say. Watching her walk away his eyes trailed to her swaying hips but then quickly went back up, watching her.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex didn't feel as calm here as she had in the past and once she looked over towards the entrance she realized it was likely due to williams eyes upong her. Sighing she doubted she was going to get a moments peace with him tailing her like he did, but standing she moved off and checked her rose bushes and other flowers she had personally planted in the little grove. Everyone knew it was off limits and not even the gardner dared enter without her permission because this was her sanctuary. Sighing she eventually had come full circle and moved to leave. Her hidden exit would remain as such for now..."When do you go off duty?"...she enquired making her way back to the castle much more slowly

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' didn't have his eyes on her the entire time, they were shifting aroudn in the garden, glancing at it's beauty. Now looking toward her, he'd smile. 'Seven, wanan go for a walk afterward? As friends of course." he'd say shifting his stance and moving backwards, should she choose to exit. Wait..did he just ask her...to go for a walk as friends? or was he really...wanting to be with her? Or maybe find a way...to be by her side the entire time, sneak sneaky guard?

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex raised an eyebrow..."We could hardly say we are friends. I know nothing about you."...she said wondering exactly what her father saw him in. Perhaps she would ask him, why yes that sounded like a splended idea. Father, why did you suddenly decide to pick a young good looking guard for me? It was rather odd in her opinion.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Ask away." 'William' said, turning on his hel and smiling at her. "You have a beautiful, garden, Princess." he'd say. Oh, he had a wonderful background, allll ready planned up and in his head.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex decided to try and give William the benfit of the doubt her Samantha's sake. She figured Samantha wouldn't get very far if she continued to act like a grumpy old crow...."Thank you."...she said pausing a moment..."Why don't you just tell me some things about yourself."

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Your quite welcome, princess." he'd say, pondering for a moment. "I...wasn't raised in a very safe neighborhood, there was lots of danger... um, I never made very good grades, but I learned to be tough on the streets, which is all that mattered where I lived. UJm...my mother...she died when I was four, my father two years after, I was...raised by my sister, she...um she was shot and killed six months ago..."

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex stopped and turned her attention to William. Well didn't that just make her feel a bit guilty, here she was giving him the cold shoulder and he had suffered such terrible loses..."I'm sorry to hear that. I hope your holding up well."...she said honestly concerned for his well being. After all, she did have a heart! She was just mad at her father to be honest.

2012-02-11 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "I...I'm fine." 'William' said looking to her. "And you? tell me a bit about you." he'd respond. Thoug...everything he told was a lie, about his family that is, except for his mother.

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex shrugged.."Not much to say. Despite what people think the life of a princess is boring."...she shrugged and went back to walking. See, conversation didn't hurt now did it?

2012-02-11 [Saffron]: Alex restrained herself from rolling her eyes. Leave it to men to not pick one, but multiple women they want to get to know..."Well perhaps you might converse a bit more with Samantha. She seems rather taken with you thus far."...so much for being koi about it, but that wasn't exactly Alex's style. Entering the castle, she decided for now she would give her father some peace and instead she headed back to her rooom for lack of anything else to do.

Alex paused a moment hadding forgotten all about food, but she realized she was indeed hungry..."You are right. It is near dinner."...she finished the short distance to her room and told William to wait outside while she got ready and shortly there after she appeared again washed and in a new dress looking very dinner appropriate.

2012-02-12 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' properly waited outside, if the dear took too long then he deemed neccessary, he would of kicked the damn door in. But nope, she came out in proper time, so he nodded to ehr and held out his arm. "Might I escort a beautiful lady to dinner?" he'd ask. Oh...lady? Oh my, he must be off duty....right? Nope...in half an hour he will be, but no, not yet.

2012-02-12 [Saffron]: Alexandria looked at William with an almost baffuled expression on her face. It wasn't stubborness that left her there wondering, but more of a concern would it be proper for a guard to escort her?..."I thank you mister William, but I don't think that would be proper while your working."...she said gracisiously. After all, if they were attacked it wouldn't do if she was caught up on his arm anyway. She had no way of knowing, that William was the one she needed to worry about!

Had that been rude? Probably, but Alex was already starting to feel conflicted about William. He seemed to be a nice guy, but he was her guard. Really, what was a guard though? Just meant to keep her safe right? Perhaps if she let go a bit she could still have fun and he would be more of a tag along or maybe even a friend. He did say he wanted to be friends right? Sighing softly, she entered the dining hall and looked around wondering if her parents had arrived to eat yet or if they had more important matters to attend.

2012-02-12 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: PRessing matters yes, parents had dto attend to i.e. [Sonya Blue] is moving next week to an ew home, yep yep busy busy she is! Nevertheless, she'd be having dinner alone tonight, well not completely alone, 'William' was there with her, to watch over her. "If you require anything else tonight, princess, you know where my door is." he'd say, but hand't left his spot, twenty feet from her, nope not off duty yet!

2012-02-12 [Saffron]: So, who was guarding her at night then? Oh well, soon to find out she was sure..."Thank you, I'm sure everything will be fine."...she said sitting down at her very empty table. She couldn't help but feel rather lonely. Why couldn't she have siblings for times like this? Sighing softly she started to eat.

2012-02-12 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Not entirely sure, dear. If she's here, I'm quite sure they've met already. Come." he'd say taking her hand, leading her to dinner.

'William' nodded. "Quite sure it will be, princess." he'd sday before lowering his head into a rested positionand leaning against the wall. Sleeping? no...just relaxing. Sleeping on the job wasn't 'Williams' style.

2012-02-12 [Saffron]: Alex didn't so much as eat as play with her food taking only a few half hearted nibbles. She had hoped her parents would dine with her tonight for she had not seen them since she was home.

William looked up and pushed off the wall, bowing. "Yes m'lord, it's a pleasure to meet you as well."

2012-02-12 [Sonya Blue]: Harmony smiled to William as she took her seat then looked to Alexandria "welcome home darling." she smiled to her as well.

2012-02-12 [Saffron]: Alex looked up a genuine smile on her face very glad that she would not have dinner alone..."Evening Father, Mother."..she smiled at them and stood moving to give each a hug..."I hope all has been well while I was visiting Cousin Jessica."

2012-02-12 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Varian smiled and hugged her. "Yes, everythings been well, how are you taking to your new guard?" he'd ask, raising a brow watching the boy. "You may go now, it's almost seven. I'm quite sure you're hungry."

'William' nodded. "As you wish, sire." he'd say, taking one final glance toward Alex and offering a smile, before departing.

2012-02-12 [Saffron]: Alex noted her mother's silence and her father's few words and decided to reserve herself to silence. So, with that she took a larger bite of her dinner and waited to see if either parent would have anything futher to say during the meal.

2012-02-12 [Saffron]: Alex looked up..."It was fun. We worked on some baby clothes."...she smiled at her father. She only hoped she would be able to go back soon before Jessica was to busy with her own family to spend time with her or perhaps before she was shuttled away to some bordering kingdom to be a wife.

Varian smiled. "I have your mother to actually thank for that...she raised you more than I." he'd smile looking to his wife.

Did...William return after eating? Why yes...yes he did, sneaky sneaky! He was outside the dining hall, leaning against the wall just...listening. But his true intentions was to maybe get some inside information about Alex...to get closer to her.

2012-02-13 [Saffron]: Alex stood and gave each of her parents a kiss good night before departing the dining hall. No other guard had come to report to duty as of yet so she was hoping for a few solitary minutes alone where she might just go outside, sit, and breath for a minute. That sounded lovely!

Samantha jogged up to her. "Alex Alex guess what!"

2012-02-13 [Saffron]: Alex looked up..."What?"...she asked her eyes a little wide. Samantha seemed excited, maybe William had asked her out after all?

2012-02-13 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "William talked to me...he um...showed much interest in me..." she'd blush a bit. "he...even had supper with me..." she'd smile, even though all the servants ate with one another...it meant he chose to talk to her!

2012-02-13 [Saffron]: Alex smiled at samantha..."That is good. I am glad to see that the two of you are getting along. Why don't you go find him and enjoy the rest of the evening? I'll be fine tonight."...she confirmed to her friend. Surely she could draw her own bath for one night.

2012-02-13 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: She adjusted her dress and smiled, hugging her and kissing her cheek. "Thanks Alex! If you um need me I'll ber arond his room...I think he said he was headed there after he ate." she'd blush a bit.

2012-02-13 [Saffron]: Alex smiled and shooed her off..."Go on now, stop stalling."...she chuckled and once Samantha started moving she left the castle and moved into the gardens. She didn't go far, just to the fountains and she sat down and listened to the water as it trickled down.

As for Alex, no big bad monster came out and attacked her and she was back to thinking that these attempts at her life were long gone and things of the past. She was getting tired though and so she moved back into the castle and up to her chambers, after a quick bath, she fell asleep.

2012-02-13 [Saffron]: Well morning came and found Alex awake early. She had already dressed and slipped her night guard who had been staring off into the darkness thinking the princess was asleep safe in her bed. Always easier to lose the night watchers. She smiled to herself as she weeded her little garden in her grove. The strawberries were coming along just nicely and the flowers were strong and healthy.

2012-02-13 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: AND the james' post was ruined being the princess wasn't in her room and he could not do what he'd planned on doing. Maybe later mhm mhm, when it's daylight out :P For now william was up and getting ready, getting dresed and stuff, not ready to relieave the ngiht guard yet.

Samantha stood half naked in front of the mirror, with nothing but her panties on gazing at herself, blushing. "oh my...I have the most wonderful body...besides the princess...just glad she has that title, otherwise...no chance would I have with William."

Alex had often had similar thoughts to Samantha. Well, not about her body, but more of wishing she had the chance to live the life of a commoner. Then she could tend her garden all day and enjoy the freedom that came with living outside the palace, of course she didn't know how hard it could be. How could she? For now though, it was a nice fantasy to roll about in her head while she continued to check the soil and weed her garden as the sun rose.

Realizing the sun was coming up, she quickly finished and hurried back to the castle. Slipping in was a bit harder then slipping out, but finally the guard greeted one of the castle maids and she slipped in silently and went to bath the dirt from her skin. Once done and dressed for the second time that day, she left her room and smiled at the night guard before moving off for breakfast.

2012-02-13 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Samantha came in just as she was going for breakfast with a tray. "Your mother and father requested you eat breakfast in here today, they're a noble is having issues iwth another and they're dicussing it over breakfast." she'd say with a smile, placing the tray of yummy goodness on her table. Oh oh, if she paid attention to her neck, she'd probably notice a mark on there, mhm mhm. A hickie!

2012-02-13 [Saffron]: One would think that not having a sibling would encourage her parents to want her to learn these things to rule, but clearly it wasn't in the cards. Alex had a feeling they were hoping to have a boy that would take that course in life. Sighing she nodded and sat down at the table and had indeed noticed the mark but chose to ignore it. it wouldn't be proper to comment on it.

"Morning William." she'd blush, receiving a kiss upon the corner of her mouth. Turning her head toward the princess. "Alex, it's William" she'd say.

Samantha frowned. her best fri3end...whom told her to presue him..now acted as if she was...jealous, it made her frown. Turning around she'd palce her hadn on his chest and kissed his cheek. "Best you wait outside."

2012-02-13 [Saffron]: They acted as if thy were not on duty! Kissing each other in her chambers, it actually did make her mad ontop of being shunned by her parents again..."Your dismissed Samantha."...she said annoyed that she had reminded her of how to treat a servant. Of course she knew she had to give permission for him to enter and her not doing so clearly indicated she didn't want him inside.
